Most recently, Authentic Designs has expanded the materials they use to include the highest quality eco-friendly products available. They strive to educate their designers, and work with their architectural partners in order to promote products and practices that are environmentally conscientious. "We encourage all our partners to integrate eco-friendly ideas in their designs," says Dean. "From the roof tiles to the carpet, we want to design with the environment in mind."
The drawers boxes in Authentic Designs' cabinetry are now made of Lyptus®, an environmentally sustainable, plantation grown, solid material. Primarily, Lyptus is grown to sustainable forest certification standards in Brazil where the trees reach maturity within 14-16 years.
Medite II®, an alternative to traditional plywood used in cabinetry, is another sustainable product used by Authentic Designs. Medite II® is a certified Environmentally Preferable Product that is formaldehyde free.
Authentic Designs Inc. offers some the best and most eco-friendly finishes in the industry. Deft, a water- based, clear coat, is HAPS free with an ultra low- VOC formulation. Formulated to provide crosslink technology for optimal chemical resistance, this waterborne finish can out perform most solvent-borne finishes.

Authentic Designs purchases its carpet and wood flooring from companies who are concerned with the environment and who have taken steps to preserve the planet. One of these companies is Shaw Industries. As a company, Shaw Industries' commitment to sustainability includes the goal of safeguarding the health and well-being of people and communities, conserving energy and water, and recycling materials. Both their Anso Nylon carpet and Endurance II padding are made from recycled materials.
Authentic Designs' selection of wood flooring includes environmentally friendly products from BR-111. BR-111 promotes sustainable forest practices, securing timber that is selectively harvested and inspected under government guidelines. Coupled with a stringent policy of reforestation, rational harvesting from sustainable forests assures the health and continuity of this valuable resource.
